Stop judging women – they most definitely know more about whisky than you can imagine

This past year I did a fair amount of travel and whenever I have some free time you will always find me visiting the local distilleries and local whisky shops. During a Canadian trip I was in a very popular whisky specialty store and was observing or I must say awing the vast selection of rare whiskies when a female store employee
approached a male customer and stated “do you need assistance” and he replied (as he looked at me): “I thought he would know more about whisky”. He did appear nervous but interestingly enough she replied: “I know whisky, this is a whisky shop and I can help you”. She then spent the next 10-15 minutes asking him what he was looking for, whereby it was a whisky for his father-in-law.
