FLUE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION the partnership with R&F on site. “It was a pleasure to work with

C ommercial and industrial flue experts John J Doyle worked closely with main contractor R&F Mechanical Services to supply and install flue systems for the boilers and driers at the Ulster Hospital Laundry. They used Dinak Twin Wall 316L stainless steel flues which ranged from 100mm to 400mm in inner diameter. All Dinak products are fully CE-marked and come with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. To optimise the routing of the flues toward the hole on the roof, the team had to carry out their in-house flue calculations to ensure the correct flue size for each appliance. However, according to Brian Fitzsimmons, Project Engineer at John J. Doyle, the work didn’t pose any major complications. “The challenges presented by the project were minimal and sparse,” he commented. “It was a very well-run site.” Brian couldn’t be more complimentary of

(Contracts Manager) William Fleming and the team at R&F Mechanical on another challenging but rewarding project. And we look forward to working with them again in the future,” he added. John J. VENTILATION SYSTEM

H VAC experts, Whitehouse Engineering, carried out the fabrication and installation of the ventilation system at the Ulster Hospital Laundry. The systems were installed in the laundry room, staff facilities and cleanroom, and the company also supplied and installed associated ventilation plant items. “The space available for the services within the ceiling voids in the staff facility areas was limited and required close coordination between mechanical and electrical services but, other than that, there were no particular issues on the project,” commented Managing Director Stephen Dawson. “The great working relationship we have with R&F Mechanical Services and the other teams on the project was crucial to coordinate and plan the work and execute the installation.”
