PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential criteria • Knowledge of current UK technical standards/publications and legislation requirements (included but not limited to, Building Regulations/Building Control, Heritage Legislation, H&S Regulations). • Demonstrable knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations • Excellent standard of IT literacy with a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software i.e. word, excel, etc. • Good administration and organisational skills • Determine and coordinate the analysis of space needs by building users in line with the corporate space strategies. • Good knowledge of spatial design, development and associated processes. • Strong demonstrable verbal and written communication style and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally. • Experience in managing tender processes and awarding appointments. • Experience of managing project financial processes (including placing and expediting orders, processing delivery
notes, invoices and recharges) and monitor and reconcile final accounts. • Articulate, tactful and diplomatic when dealing with staff at all levels. • Flexible approach and a good team member. • Ability to work with minimum supervision, using their own initiative. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a methodical manner. • Prepared to travel anywhere within the King’s College estate. • Prepared to undertake any necessary training that might be required. • Spatial awareness and understanding of efficiency in space use.
• Effectively manage own time and others within small teams across multiple projects and prioritise workload • Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure and strict deadlines, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks. • Excellent time and cost management skills to ensure cost effective and accurate delivery. • Ability to work well within a team of other design consultants (i.e. Architects, quantity surveyors, structural engineers, service engineers etc) to deliver successful projects in agreement with the brief.
