Decision Making, Planning and Problem Solving • To support the team in ensuring that all work is carried out in strict accordance with all relevant statutory regulations and approved codes of practices (including but not limited to, Building Regulations/Building Control, Heritage Legislations, H&S legislations), the College’s Manual of Financial Regulations and Procedures and conforms to the Estate & Facilities Directorate’s policies, processes and procedures and technical specifications • Provide accurate estimates for requested project works to be carried out by direct labour, negotiate or tender, the allocation of resources and ensure that work is priced, inclusive of relevant cost centre, ensuring effective monitoring and control; • To ensure compliance with the College’s Permit to Work systems for various deliveries/pertinent project works’ delivery. Service Delivery • Drafting of surveys, reports, make alterations to projects and work with AutoCAD and Photoshop as required; • Co-ordination and reporting of projects to ensure effective execution and consistent monitoring; • Obtain competitive quotations and/or manage competitive tender processes in compliance with the College’s Financial Regulations for work to be carried out by external contractors. Submit for approval and coordinate official contractual appointments; • Process financial documentation relating to the managed campus projects, including placing and expediting orders, processing delivery notes, invoices and recharges, and monitor and reconcile final accounts for project; • To ensure that the College’s record drawings for all campus buildings are updated and accurate and receive and comment upon Operation &Maintenance manuals and Health & Safety Manuals; • To update the campus records in the agreed version on the College’s approved storage system; • Monitor and report expenditure in-line with project allocations, ensuring value for money is obtained
