DYLAN DORDICK PARTNER D ylan attended the University of California, Hastings School of Law in San Francisco where he was a distinguished member of the school’s trial advocacy competition team. As a member of the team, Dylan won the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association’s annual mock trial competition and placed second in Golden Gate University’s annual competition in addition to being awarded the best oral advocate in his Moot Court class. Dylan was also the president of the Homeless Legal Services organization where he volunteered to provide free legal services to the residents of the largest homeless shelter in Northern California. For his efforts, Dylan earned the Outstanding Achievement in Pro Bono, a distinction awarded to students who completed over 150 hours of pro bono work. Dylan was also presented with the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Services by the State Bar of California. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of California, Hastings School of Law, he joined a prominent personal injury firm where he tried several cases to verdict, including co-trying a disputed liability spine injury case that resulted in a four million four hundred thousand dollar verdict ($4,400,000.00) which was the 14th largest car accident verdict in California in 2018. When the opportunity arose, Dylan took the next step in his career and joined his family’s law practice. He was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2020 to 2026, an honor reserved for the top‑rated emerging attorneys in California and reflecting widespread peer recognition and professional achievement in personal injury law.

JOHN M. UPTON PARTNER John represents the firm’s clients in complex, high-stakes motions, appeals, and writ proceedings in California’s superior courts and appellate divisions. John earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was awarded the USD School of Law Merit Scholarship. He studied International and European Communities Law at the Institute of International and Comparative Law, Magdalen College, University of Oxford. He holds a B.A. in Economics and graduated cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara. With hundreds of significant personal injury matters handled from intake through resolution, John brings battle-tested insight and sophisticated litigation strategy to a broad spectrum of plaintiff-side claims. His experience spans catastrophic automobile and trucking collisions, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, products liability, sexual abuse, and medical negligence actions. A frequent speaker and moderator, John regularly shares the stage with judges, arbitrators, mediators, and fellow practitioners on topics including pre- trial strategy, trial motions, and appellate practice. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California and is an active member of Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California. Some of John’s recent Appellate Court decisions: Minnifield v. State of California, et al. No. B331542, 2025 WL 2416181 (August 21, 2025) $8.5 million judgment affirmed. The Appellate Court rejected defense claims that the trial court wrongly admitted certain evidence, unfairly edited certain demonstrative exhibits, and erroneously allowed improper closing arguments.

CHRISTOPHER BULONE PARTNER C hristopher Bulone is a fast-rising star in California courtrooms where he continues to rack up record results. Mr. Bulone graduated from the public interest-minded law school of The University of San Francisco in 2011 and spent his entire career since working tirelessly on behalf of the most downtrodden against the world’s most powerful corporations. So far in 2024, Mr. Bulone won a two million, five hundred thousand dollar ($2,500,000.00) jury verdict in Van Nuys, believed to be a courthouse record for a mild traumatic brain injury. Forty-two million dollars ($42,000,000.00) in a fiercely disputed vicarious liability delivery truck versus auto case resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury. Fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000.00) against Cal Trans in a negligently constructed highway. Seven million, seven hundred thousand dollars ($7,700,000.00) for a man injured when a fire engine entered an intersection on a red light; eighteen million, seven hundred thousand dollars ($18,700,000.00) for a man struck by a park ranger while napping in a park. Furthermore, Mr. Bulone argued that a $100,000 insurance policy limit was “opened” due to insurance bad faith and recovered five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) for a child injured by a driver running a stop sign. In 2023 Mr. Bulone was named as one of the Top 40 lawyers under 40 by The Daily Journal, which is California’s only dedicated legal newspaper serving the entire state of California since 1888. In November of 2023 Mr. Bulone and Gary Dordick co-tried the case of Greyson Griepentrog v. Banner Health in Maricopa County, Phoenix Arizona. The result of more than thirty-one million dollars ($31,000,000.00) is thought to be the largest personal injury verdict in the history of Arizona.
