Tenant Energy Efficiency Programs
ESRT partners with tenants to monitor consumption and evaluate the measures taken to ensure continuous progress toward our intensive long-term goals in their spaces and their buildings. Our High Performance Design and Construction Guidelines drive building performance throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy phases, and optimize energy efficiency and sustainability in tenant spaces. To support tenant participation, we offer a tenant energy management program based on real-time data and trends through our MSI tool. We also provide information on energy efficiency programs such as ENERGY STAR for Tenant Spaces and the Tenant Energy Optimization Program. Operations and Engagement From tenant visits and our energy audits to green cleaning protocols and composting programs, ESRT building services follow best practices to identify sustainability opportunities. We proactively support our tenants to measure, report, and achieve their sustainability targets through data, actionable recommendations, resources, and education. Town halls and custom tenant sessions, led by our SVP, Director of Energy and Sustainability, cover all aspects of our holistic sustainability program for building occupants. Landlord-tenant collaboration is integral to the success of our sustainability program goals.
Tenant Sustainability Toolkit We continue to strengthen our partnership with all tenants as we work toward a more sustainable future together. Tenants receive Sustainability Guidelines, a Tenant Sustainability Toolkit , and fact sheets customized to each building. We maintain frequent, consistent tenant communications through email, in-person meetings, and social media.
