Corporate Citizenship
ESRT’s greatest strength is our people. Our individual team members’ strengths and shared goals combine to deliver exceptional service, protect, and build long-term value for our stakeholders. We encourage and facilitate our colleagues to make positive impacts in the communities in which we live and work. We bolster the health, indoor environmental quality (IEQ), and resilience of our buildings to support the well-being, satisfaction, and productivity of our colleagues and tenants. Our team’s range of experiences and perspectives enriches the quality of ideas and decisions made within our organization. Colleague engagement, development, and growth are critical to our success. Our practices, policies, and behaviors maximize the contribution of our colleagues and protect and create value for our tenants and the communities we serve. Our strategy focuses on four core stakeholder groups:
Colleagues
Tenants
Community
Suppliers
We foster an environment in which our colleagues feel safe, respected, and motivated to do their best work. We invest in our colleagues’ career development and education and provide a comprehensive benefits plan to promote and support their continued health, well-being, and productivity.
Our current and prospective tenants drive our business and are our top priority. We create healthy, productive, and sustainably built and operated environments that attract and retain tenants. Our modernized, energy- efficient buildings feature premier IEQ and our amenities help create a culture of collaboration and well-being. The result is in our performance; in 2025, ESRT signed one million rentable square feet of office and retail leases.
We partner with organizations that support our local communities, protect our environment, promote opportunity, and provide our colleagues with opportunities to make impactful change for the better. We encourage our team members to volunteer in our communities and make it easy to do so with corporate-sponsored group volunteer activities and an annual paid day off for volunteer work. We aim for 100% colleague participation in volunteer work annually.
Ethical conduct is at the core of ESRT’s values. We require our partners, suppliers, and vendors to adhere to our Vendor Code of Conduct, which holds them to the same high standards we set for ourselves. This is important to deliver our best-in-class service to our tenants and maintain a high-quality environment for our colleagues.
