Brahm Plug & Play Central Collector Series User Manual

12) Cover the filter duct and ring to avoid dirt or dust entering the clean air duct. Make sure to cover the

entire duct and filter ring. A plastic bag can be used.

13) Clean each of the filter clamp and CAD rings. This can be done by simply sucking them off with a

proper vacuum system or wiping them clean with a dry cloth. Make sure not to damage the gasket on

the CAD ring.

14) Some excess dust and debris may need to be removed while the filters have been removed from the

unit. This can be done by sweeping the dust into the dust bins. Alternatively, excess dust in the filter

compartment can also be removed through the

suction of a proper vacuum system.

15) Remove the covering from the last filter duct.

16) Place the new filter onto the filter ring with the gasket

seal end up. The end with no sealing gasket must be

down. Make sure the filter is properly seated.

17) Once the filter is properly seated, grab the bottom of

the filter clamp. This time you will push down and

away from you to lock the filters back into place.

18) Rotate the wrench 90 o to tighten the clamp. As the

cam turns, it will increase pressure onto the filters.

Make sure to create full pressure onto all of the filters.

19) Examine the filters and make sure the filter gaskets are completely under the filter clamp. Any

gapping will cause bypass and allow smoke through once the unit is running.

20) Close and latch the filter door.

21) Dust may have fallen into the filter ducts while changing filters. If an optional Fire Suppression

System has been purchased, then use the key switch to deactivate the system for the initial start up.

This will prevent a false trip while the dust is being blown out of the unit.

22) Rotate the Disconnect to the '1' or 'ON' position. This will restore power to the unit.

23) Press the green 'START' button and allow blower to spin up.

24) Some dust or debris may have fallen into the filter ducts; this dust would then be blown out when the

unit begins to run. If the optional fire suppression system has not been turned off, this may cause a

false trip on the system.
