Comexi Inaugurates New Miami Tech Center

Printing United Alliance Announces New G7+

PRINTING United Alliance, a printing and graphic arts as- sociation in North America, has announced the release of G7+, the next evolution in color calibration. G7+ is a new and improved calibration specification that replaces leg- acy G7 with new logic and algorithms but similar overall appearance, according to the organization. G7+ training and certification will be available in-person during the COLOR Conference portion of the PRINTING United Technical Event Series this March 12-14 in Dallas, Texas, and soon on the Alliance’s iLEARNING+ platform. In other news, PRINTING United Alliance has its inaugu- ral PRINTING United Leadership Summit Advisory Board event taking place on February 12-14, 2024, at the PGA National Resort in West Palm Beach, Florida. Based on the foundation of the Alliance’s previously held and successful SPIRE events, the 2024 Leadership Summit will address the industry’s most pressing chal- lenges in a peer-to-peer environment where exclusive re- search-based presentations are offered, based on the Al- liance’s annual research studies. The agenda will include sessions based on analysis from business intelligence re- ports, as well as findings from studies that identify the top segments for printing in the U.S. market and convergence/ diversification patterns across the industry.

Comexi hosted a recent event at its Technology Center, Comexi CTec Manel Xifra i Boada, located in Miami, Flori- da. Under the theme “ Envisioning the Future of the Flexi- ble Packaging Industry ,” attendees had the chance to:

• Explore Market Trends with the first “ State of the Flexi- ble Packaging Industry ” for 2024 from Alison Keane, Pres- ident of the Flexible Packaging Association. • Understand Brand Owners’ Vision with an exclusive look into the future of flexible packaging through the eyes of Pepsico. • Discover “The Future of the Flexible Packaging Work- force” through an exploration with Dr. Chip Tonkin from Clemson University, who provided insights into the chal- lenges of workforce and automation.
