UPM Raflatac Opens Slitting Terminal In Toronto UPM Raflatac, a global supplier of sustainable self-adhe- sive paper and film products, plans to open a new slitting and distribution terminal in the Toronto, Canada metropol- itan area. The Toronto area terminal will house the newest generation equipment and a large warehousing space to enable storage of film and paper laminates, as well as spe- cialty products. Construction on the new facility is underway. UPM Raf- latac expects to begin production by late summer 2024.

Fedrigoni Acquires Equity Stake In SharpEnd / io.tt

The Fedrigoni Group, a manufacturer of specialty papers for luxury packaging and other creative applications, pre- mium labels and self-adhesive materials, has acquired – through a capital increase – a minority stake in SharpEnd / io.tt, the IoT solutions and consulting company led by Cam- eron Worth, the CEO and founder. The deal consists of an initial investment with a path to acquire their entire capital in the longer term and is part of a new corporate venture capital program launched by Fedri- goni to identify innovative startups to accelerate its innova- tion process and the acquisition of new technologies.
