AICC To Host Webinar On Hazardous Materials & Security Awareness AICC announced that it will host webinar on Hazardous Materials General & Security Awareness in Tuesday, Feb- ruary 6, 2024, from 2:00-3:30p.m. EST. This webinar is a general awareness and security awareness session to familiarize hazmat employees with the structure and concepts of the US Hazardous Materi- al Regulations (HMR). It meets certain requirements of the regulations, makes employees generally aware of their re- sponsibilities under the HMR, and helps prevent mistakes that can lead to violations.The webinar is free to all AICC members in good standing. Learning objectives include: • Identification of Hazardous Materials for HMR • Hazard Classification System of the HMR • Use of the Hazardous Materials Table • Packaging hazardous materials for shipment • Markings and labels for packages • Placarding • Documentation: shipping papers • Loading, unloading and segregation • Understanding of the HMR training requirements • Requirements for incident reporting • Security awareness Sales and marketing professionals, operators, printers, designers, artwork approvers, quality control personnel, and customer service representatives should attend. The most important part of a general awareness train- ing is to raise the consciousness of the employees in their day-to-day job activities about when NOT to do some- thing; unless they have specific knowledge of how to do it in compliance with the HMR.
