From the Headmaster Joe Eccleton For 175 years, Christ’s College has stood as a testament to the generosity, vision, and faith of its community. From our earliest days, philanthropy has not simply supported College, it has sustained and shaped it. We exist today because of the commitment of Old Boys, current and past parents, staff, and friends who have believed deeply in the transformative power of a Christ’s College education and have chosen to invest in its future. Philanthropy is woven into the fabric of our history. Each generation has benefitted from the foresight and generosity of those who have gone before, and, in turn, has been called to contribute so that those who follow may benefit. It is through this spirit of giving that we continue to honour our heritage while building for the future. Support for College takes many forms. For some, it is participation in our Annual Appeals, which strengthens the day-to-day experience of our boys; for others, it is involvement in major capital campaigns, such as support for Upper West, our new state-of-the-art gymnasium; for others, it may take the form of private donations and bequests. Last year’s Annual Giving Day, dedicated to scholarships, was a particularly powerful expression of our community’s shared values. Through the generosity of donors, we are able to provide life-changing opportunities for boys who, due to financial circumstances, would not otherwise have access to a Christ’s College education. These scholarships do more than open doors for individual students; they enrich the entire College community and affirm our commitment to opportunity. We are profoundly grateful for the generosity of all who support College. Your commitment ensures that Christ’s College continues to flourish, faithful to its foundations and confident in its future.
