The bill would allow cannabis businesses access to bank- ing services such as loans and credit card processing. Passage in the Senate remains unlikely.

County District Attorney’s of- fice will expunge nearly 60,000 canna- bis-related convictions in accordance with a 2018 law passed by the Califor- nia legislature. In 2020, close to 66,000 such convictions were expunged in L.A. County, though potentially hundreds of thousands more have yet to be.

The regulation is expected to be imple- mented soon by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
