Introduction

“I enjoyed that the course was much more practical and realistic in terms of what to expect from a client. This made it more engaging and for that reason, I would recommend The College of Legal Practice.” of Legal Practice “

Student, The College

“ “I feel as if anyone seeking a career as a solicitor would highly benefit from the practical side of learning like this. It mirrored the skills used in practice but was framed from a learning level. It worked very well!” Student, The College of Legal Practice

WHAT MAKES

US DIFFERENT? We are an online provider of legal education and training. Nobody provides an online learning experience quite like us. By blending our one-of-a-kind learning platform with personal supervision, we enable you to learn and train to qualify as a solicitor in a way that works for you.

Flexible learning We work with students, legal professionals, partners and businesses to deliver tailor- made courses that work for them. Our mix of live and on-demand learning activities will enable you to learn in a way that fits around your work and family commitments. You don’t have to be based in the UK to train with us.

Practitioner access Our expert supervisors are not just academics, they are experienced

practising solicitors who do what they do because they love it. A passion for teaching is what drives them, and through our one-to-one supervision, you will receive constructive individual feedback. It means from application to qualifying as a solicitor, you will know exactly where you need to improve and focus.

Learning designed for real-life practice

We design our courses using engaging activities and tasks that replicate current practice to give you a more holistic skillset that fully prepares you for the workplace. Our unique learning style replicates work- based transactional tasks and client matters that newly qualified solicitors will encounter in their day-to-day work.

Designed for online Rather than retrofitting traditional classroom learning into an online environment, all of our courses are designed for online delivery. We’ve been doing this for years and know exactly what works and what doesn’t. When you join the College, you will become part of our virtual student community and will have the freedom to participate in live group sessions, surgeries and online discussion forums.

Low cost, high value With all of our programmes designed specifically for online delivery, our ownership model allows us to deliver courses with real value at a much more accessible cost, making us much more affordable than the competition.

“ “The College of Legal Practice’s approach to learning is grounded in real-world legal practice, which makes it a perfect fit with our own training philosophy. It is important to us that its tutors are practising solicitors as they understand our needs as a firm, as well as how best to guide and support our trainees in their learning. We work closely with The College of Legal Practice to identify the knowledge and the skills required for our trainees to succeed in the legal profession. As these requirements change and evolve, the courses will change too, meaning the time our trainees spend learning with The College of Legal Practice remains practical, valuable and relevant.” Brigid North Training Principal, Reed Smith
