Radius Scrape Top and bottom radius scrapers remove tooling marks that can be left on thicker tapes after cutting. An air blast unit removes the scrapings, and they are extracted through the dust collection unit. Fine Trim Top and bottom fine trim spindles have adjustable angle and 2 axis adjustment with digital counters for precise and predictable setting. This station is used for radius or beveled applications. End Cut Dual independent motors allow for the end trim to be set at up to a 15° angle, ensuring clean cuts without unintended contact with the sides of the panel. Both end trim saws use copy rollers to accurately trace the profile of the panel. Pre-Mill Two diamond cutters, one CW and one CCW prevent delamination of adjacent edges. The amount removed is adjustable via digital counter. Pre-Milling the edge corrects quality issues of the panel for nearly invisible glue line. Ahead of pre-mill is a sprayed release agent to coat top and bottom of the panel. 1 3 5 7
Glue Glue is rolled on followed by pressure rollers. The temperature of glue applied is easily adjustable right from the touch screen. The Glue Roller is supplied by an auger that ensures ample glue supply and recitculates unused glue. 2
Flat Scrape The additional flat scraper is used to further minimize the glue line. It removes any machining marks left over from top and bottom trimming. Results are a crisp and clean edge. Corner Round The dual motor corner rounding station operates at 12,000 rpm to machine a radius onto the leading and trailing vertical edges, creating smooth corners. 6 Rough Trim Rough trim motors are used to remove the majority of the excess edgebanding material prior to the fine or radius trim motors, which results in a higher finish-cut quality and faster processing speeds. 4 8
Buff
9 Buffers restore the original finish to the edge tape as they exit the machine. Preceding the buffer is a sprayed cleaning agent. Panels come off finished needing no additional touch-ups.
