À l’Escale cependant, élèves et enseignants se sont affrontés dans une joute amicale de hockey de rue vendredi derni- er sur l’avenue Du Parc. Il s’agissait d’une des activités organisées dans le cadre de la Journée champêtre. La rue devant l’école a été fermée à la circulation durant l’après-midi alors que le personnel de l’école et des élèves se sont amusé à jouer au hockey de rue traditionnel. D’autres activités récréatives ont également été organisées près du Parc Simon.

Teddy Bears picnic Rockland | If you go to the park Sunday you’re in for a big surprise. Something so wonderful you won’t believe your eyes. The teddy bears are everywhere and want to share the fun at their annual picnic. The Prescott-Russell branch of the Make a Wish Foundation hosts what the volunteers hope will become an annual spring tradition for children in the community this weekend. The Teddy Bears’Picnic sets up the afternoon of June 10 at the Chamberland Centre in Parc Simon. Children are welcome to bring their favourite stuffy friend with them, and their parents too, for fun and games, refreshments, and “mystery” vis- its from local business and community mascots. Admission is free but donations to the Make a Wish fund are appreciated.
