The team would like readers to know that the impact is particularly significant for Alaska's Indigenous communities. An estimated 38,000 American Indian/ Alaska Natives aged 65 and older were living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in 2020, and that number is expected to double by 2030 and quadruple by 2050. A heartfelt thank you and kudos most certainly goes out to SP Warren and the team to keep our Orient moving toward a successful program.

Orient of Alaska Sovereign Grand Inspector General Curtis E. Harris Sr., Overseer

The Orient of Alaska has been generating synergy within our membership to enhance our ability to support the USC initiatives that have been shared and highlighted in addition to the attention granted towards a positive community impact. Leadership has been working to provide robust opportunities for Orient members to branch out and lead in areas of their respective interests. One of the initiatives being pursued in Alaska is the United Supreme Council— Alzheimer's Association Collaboration. The Orient of Alaska has chosen SP Terence Warren of Northern Lights Consistory No. 72 to serve as USC Point of Contact (POC) with the Alzheimer ’ s Association, and he has performed magnificently. One of the major accomplishments for the program was the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's held in Anchorage on September 27, 2025. SP Warren partnered the Orient with the Alaska Alzheimer's Association representative Beverly Kimmons and made great strides toward setting the program on firm footing. The Orient of Alaska recently held the 2025 Council of Deliberation in the Valley of Fairbanks. The members were in a determined mindset to ensure a strong start to the weekend and gathered to socialize with one another to get the weekend ’ s activities started. The ACOD Planning Team consisted of CIC Denzel Mosley, SP William Brennan, SP Marcus McGrew and SGLLAR Samara Taggart. They put together a magnificent weekend of fun social events. SGLLR Jackie Parker and SGLLAR Taggart worked some magic to create a “ Boots on the Ground ” mixer to allow the Fraters, OGC and invited community guests to relax, share old times and truly get into the fellowship spirit. We were delighted to have MWGM Abdullah O. Mustapha-Thomas and GWM Anisa Mustapha to attend and support our social and participate at the COD meetings and banquet.
