The Communion Service is Typical of Unity 1 Cor. 11:26 God’s people assemble as believers who are,in fellowship with God and with one another. The bread and the wine are taken to show forth to the world that it is the living Christ and His work at Calvary that has made Christians and has united their hearts to one another. As Christians we testify to the world at the Lord’s Table that we are separated from the world by an impassable gulf as God’s children are separated from the devil’s children. We testify in this Lord’s Supper to our union with the living Christ on the throne. The Communion Service is Typical of Devotion 1 Cor. 11:24 Those who sit at the Lord’s Table and partake of the bread and wine are really testifying to their love for the living Lord who saved them. He said, “ This do in remembrance of me.” Most lovers carry with them some emblem or article that tells of their love and devotion for the one at home. Christ went the long journey back to His Father and left this sacrament as the expression of His desire to ever be before our hearts. It is the only thing Christ ever asked us to do for Himself personally. It is His dying request and we should be glad to observe it. Thus we refresh our hearts in His presence.

Three times the Lord said, “Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.” Any truth that is given three times and under different circumstances must, be very important. The main truth con tained in the above passage is that noth ing which God gives for constructive purposes should be used for destructive purposes. The milk should have been fed to the kid to develop it and should not have been used to destroy it. The Lord’s Supper was given to unite God’s people. It is an emblem of union and unity. In stead it has been made into idol worship by Roman Catholics and has been used as a means of division among Protes tants. The Loaf is an Emblem of Unity 1 Cor. 10:17 "Christ took one loaf, broke it, and divided it among His disciples. It was one loaf to indicate that God’s people were to be one. As there are many grains in the loaf, all amalgamated to gether, so there should be only one body of Christ on earth although serving in many various groups. As thè loaf con tains nothing but wheat grains so God’s church should contain nothing but Chris tians who are the true seed of God. The loaf also represents the person of Christ who is not divided. When we partake of the bread we assert our union with one another and with Christ. The Wine is an Emblem of Unity 1 Cor. 10:16 The glass of wine contains the blood of many grapes all in union and forming one cup. As the wheat died to make the loaf, so the grapes die to make the wine. Thus the death of Christ is brought before the communicant. The wine is an emblem pf the blood of Christ and as we take it we make the confession that it is the precious blood that has blotted out all our sin. We confess that we know no other plea than the sacrifice of the Saviour. We take it as a public confes sion that our faith and trust is in Christ

RUSHING GOSPEL TO RUSSIANS AND OTHERS The Slavic Gospel Association is continuing to evangelize Russians, Ukrain ians, Polish and others in Europe, South America and North America as well as witnessing to the Jewish people in Uruguay and Cuba.

The urgent need at the present time is to engage more full-time missionary- evangelists, to send New Testaments and Gospel literature, to continue helping suffering Christians with relief in Europe. Several new mission aries already left for Alaska and Europe. Others will be going as the Lord provides means. SLAVIC GOSPEL ASSOCIATION Peter Deyneka, General Director, Dr. Paul W .
