8.8 Co-delivering courses When co-delivering courses with peer Instructor Members/Instructor-Members- In-Training, it is essential to ensure that all Instructor Members/Instructor-Members- In-Training plan the co-delivery effectively, communicate clearly and work supportively to deliver an excellent high-quality training experience to learners. To support this, as standard good practice, Instructor Members/Instructor-Members-In- Training are expected to: – Ensure the course is listed accurately on the Course Management System and has been approved by MHFA England – Meet in advance of the scheduled co- delivery to plan the course delivery – Agree on the sections of the session plan each individual will be delivering and how the co-deliverer will be supporting the delivery when they are not actively delivering content – Agree plan of action to manage breakout room/activities – Agree plan of action to monitor and manage learner engagement and distress – Agree plan of action to effectively manage learner communications, disruptions, any differences in delivery styles and unforeseen situations – Agree responsibility for monitoring learner participation and accordingly marking learners as complete – Meet to debrief with co-deliverer at the end of each day of course delivery – Provide constructive reflections and feedback on co-delivery experience
– Ensure all interactions and communications with co-deliverer are clear, professional and timely
