Ballroom Dancing Prepare for summer with this 4 week crash course in ballroom dance! Our instructor, Catherine Butterworth, will teach the basics: Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz, Salsa, and Rumba. No partner required. Catherine is a professional dance instructor who has been teaching in the D.C. area for over 10 years. She was trained at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Silver Spring, Maryland and has taught independently since 2010. Class will meet on Monday evenings in June at 7:15 PM in the Group Exercise Studio. The tentative schedule is as follows:
Week 1: Foxtrot and Swing Week 2: Waltz and Rumba Week 3: Salsa and Swing Week 4: Salsa and Foxtrot

corrective exercise for runners seminar
ANCC Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Running Fitness Instructor Denny Pinch will host a Corrective Exercise for Runners Seminar on Sunday, 11 June, at 1:00 PM in the Group Exercise Studio on the main level of the clubhouse. This is a great opportunity to learn corrective exercises to reduce the risk of suffering a running related injury at a fraction of the cost of a personal training session. In this seminar, you will learn a 4-step corrective exercise program which includes self-myofascial release, stretching, activation techniques, and integration techniques that will reduce muscle imbalances. Regular use of these techniques will help to keep you healthy, and running injury and pain free as you train. For information and details about this seminar, please click here .
