Then he studies the site

Whenever possible, he or someone from his team visits in person. When that is not possible, he uses satellite imagery, dock dimensions and site access to determine what will actually fit and function. “You want a 53-foot trailer, but that dock is only 60 feet long. I can’t get a trailer in there with the truck.” His years behind the wheel still shape those decisions. “Just from experience,” he says, “it helps me meet the end goal for the customer.” When a trailer returns from rental, Sperling says it is cleaned, repaired, restocked and immediately returned to the ready line.

“We don’t let trailers just sit around in our yard in need of repair.”

U.S. Mobile Solutions also owns its own trucking company, giving it direct control over deployment.

“If you call me and you need a trailer and I have it in my yard, I can hook it up and be on the road within the hour.”

The company can transport, set up and break down its own units, reducing the number of handoffs between manufacturer, carrier and customer. Its capabilities also extend beyond conventional trailers. Depending on the project, U.S. Mobile Solutions can build into shipping containers or box trucks and configure multiple units into larger temporary facilities.
