OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 7

73. The most disappointing part of the resort to me is the incredible length of time it takes to get necessary work done. The manager or assignee should be on top of projects and keep them moving at all times; i.e. keeping the laundry machines operational in every facility, the repairs made to the ES kitchen, the time it took to replace the street sweeper, plus more, etc. It also is difficult to understand why 2 men in the maintenance department consistently ride around every day all day together. It seems that if 2 people are needed 1 could be called to the job site. 74. All three areas require revision to include more direct and meaningful language including a description for each of the various core values. Vision Statement Example: 1 Outdoor Resort Palm Springs strives to offer superior value in golf, pickleball, tennis, fitness and social activities. 2 Maintain a rigorous commitment to excellence, integrity, teamwork, personal relationships and environmental and social responsibility. 3 Continually offer, promote, and improve facilities at ORPS for the enjoyment of its owners and guests. Mission Statement - the Mission Statement should be aligned with and support the Vision statement. Objectives as outlined in the Mission Statement Resolution 2018-10 if redundant could be updated. Core values - each of these 'words' require a supporting description to enhance their meaning and ensure that they are not left open for interpretation. 75. As for core values - I don’t see this resort being terribly innovative. Additionally, sometimes community participation is sought, but task force/committee input seems to be disregarded. Financial stability is critical! 76. Overall maintenance of our resort, laundry machines broken, taps leaking, showers broken or leaking. Our maintenance people have to open their eyes and get these things fixed. 77. There are many things that need to be changed (at no cost) to make this into a Premier RV Resort vs a Trailer Park: 1) Flashing/blinking lights on lots = Trailer Park; 2) Mismatched Christmas Tree lights running up Palm Trees = Trailer Park; 3) Dog urinating in common areas = Trailer Park; 4) Old, deteriorating 5th Wheels and RVs = Trailer Park; 5) Full-time residents = Trailer Park 78. I feel certain areas having been receiving more than others. The golf hire a pro, pickelball has all the focus and tennis (the reason we came here 15 years ago), can't even get their courts washed or blown off. We have had 4 courts taken away and received nothing in return. Just talk about a tennis center, but no money to make it!!! Very disappointed over this. ALL things should be treated equal!! 79. Sense of community lacking. This was our first visit to resort and if we had been informed about the great negativity to dog owners we would not have stayed here. We did not take our dog to the pens near the dirty garbage area. The perimeter of the tennis and Pickleball courts was less than adequate for dog relief. We had to leave the resort to walk and relieve our dog. As a first-time visitor to the resort it was extremely difficult to obtain information about specific activities... activities office personnel were uniformed. Administration office needs to be more proactive in providing info on resort rules, how to obtain laundry card, how to sign up for ORPS emails, etc. We will not be buying a lot at resort or staying here again in the future.
