SURVEY REPORT - OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS - MAY 2020

OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 9

90. The Board of Directors should listen more to the owners and implement some changes that would make our resort better. 91. As integrity not sure the administration has complete integrity toward members. 92. Not really sure why this matters? How much time has been spent on something that seems to serve no purpose? I don’t see the Board or Administration even making an effort toward meeting these goals. The entire resort is very homogeneous. The rules are designed to dissuade innovation and individuality. There is a culture of applying the rules indiscriminately based upon friendships. I would remove the power given to the Board and Committee members and have a professional resort management firm make decisions. These types of surveys are easy to use to understand the desires of owners. The Board does not represent the thinking of most. Who, other than people who desire power, would want to spend their vacation in meetings? Administration should also not fraternize with owners. It should be more professional in order to maintain fairness. 93. I would be surprised to see if the board members actually knew the resort vision, mission statement and or core values. Once in office they tend to push their own personal agenda. 94. All owners should be treated the same with respect to their lots, appearance of their RV and architectural change requests.

95.

The Vision is great. The process to achieve that is broken.

96. I would like to see more fairness between the number of guests allowed per site. We don't have parents or children, so all visitors pay the resort activity fee. Other sites seem to bring in extended family, business friends, friends of their kids and get away with it. It would be fairer to allow a certain number of free visitors per site per year. How to control/enforce this grey area is difficult, I know.

97.

Lacks some interest and vitality! Maybe needs some work.

98. The above statements are fine, however, merely stating them does not make them come true. It takes concerted action by concerned individuals. 99. Strive to effectively enforce and support the present rules and recommendations that are already in place. 100. If everyone would abide by the above statements, the ORPS experience would be much better. 101. What is the difference between a Premier resort and a 5-Star? Create an atmosphere where volunteers are respected and appreciated! This would go a long way to build community! 102. One group is and has been catered to including all of the improvements at ES. Too much money and effort has been catering to ES when core maintenance issues have been ignored in the resort. There are so many areas falling apart at the resort which are maintenance & health issues. GET THESE AREAS FIXED and up to standards, especially health. Until these areas are maintained as they should be we are certainly a long way from being a "premier RV resort with excellent facilities". 103. You are on the right track and it will take time
