OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 15

173. These are all excellent aspirations, but my main area of discontent is in the "Mutual Respect" category of the "Core Values". I believe the Rules and Regulations in ORPS are not being adhered to and that some Owners feel that they DO NOT apply to them. We must encourage and relate the fact that we are in close quarters and a high standard of decorum is required for us all to live in harmony and then have a successful Vision/Mission Outlook. 174. How long has it been since we have updated the Inner structure i.e....Septic Water lines electric? 175. The RVs/Campers allowed in the resort does not lend itself to a 5star resort. The standards suffer terribly in the off season. Class Bs and van campers are being let in. A 5-star resort should have 5th wheels and motor coaches. Lack of lighting in the resort is a huge safety issue. 176. Please allow the golf committee to rule the same as the tennis and pickleball committees do. We have been making golf available to all for 35 years. Please don’t blame the committee for the old computer system as we didn’t want or request that system. That was the board who made that mistake.

177. A work in progress.

178. None 179. We will never be a five star when you allow units in here that are either too old, too small or too unkempt and too messy in the use of their lot. 180. These are just like any other organization; it’s living up to them that counts! 181. I feel the resort is losing its 5-star status; 1) Pool surface around Es is not kept clean. Also surface is very slippery when wet. 2) Maintenance of Laundry facilities are not repaired in timely fashion. 3) Dog relief area around pickleball and tennis courts in not attractive and is disrespectful to owners. Trial should never happened without vote by owners. 182. Dog relief areas around the Pickleball/tennis courts do not comply with our resort mission statement. If an owner wants a dog/pet, the dog relief area should be on their own lot and not on grassed common areas. Owner are responsible to keep their own lot cleaned from dog odors, smells and poop. Should not be penalizing non-pet owners. Example: in Desert Shadow, next door, the pet owners are responsible for their own dog issues and the dogs are not allowed to walk or touch the common areas. That resort is not a 5-star resort. ORPS is supposed to be a 5-star resort but we have pet feces around most of our common areas. Disgusting! 183. In our core values, we state innovation, but we are failing in that area. We need to be "more" innovative and current, we continue to do the same events, same music, same dances, same golf tournaments over and over. 184. Communication between management needs improvement. Facilities are aging and need repair/updating: LP, Irrigation system, electrical. ES Kitchen needs to be finished...events were seriously handicapped due to Kitchen remodel in process. Need a better solution for dog relief...brown spots in grass in a premier resort doesn't work for me.
