INTRODUCTION
On February 4 and 5, Bill McMahon and Jeff Evans of the McMahon Group conducted focus group meetings at Outdoor Resort Palm Springs. The following are comments provided by focus group participants: Focus Group #1

Comments/Discussion:
• Like going to summer camp. • Disney for adults. • Difficult for new owners and renters to break into the social scene. • Need more mixers. • Have ambassadors for pickleball. Need them for other areas. • Communications better this year, but need more information and detail. • Very little communications on what is going on outside the Community.
• Need better representation on the Board (gender, etc.). • Need to make serving on the Board a good process. • Architectural and aesthetics needs staffing.
• Planning committee recommendations not followed by the Board. • Need better communications between the Board and Committees. • Activities Committee has had to rely on volunteers to make up for weakness in the staff. • No continuity from event to event and year to year. • Board members need training. • Board is getting rid of Committees and replacing them with Ad-Hoc Committees comprised of just Board Members. • Golf tee times different for Renters, difficult for them to get tee times. • Communications a concern. • Credibility a concern. • New Social Club is looking at events beyond the bar. • Golf Course much better with Golf Pro.
