EXPERIENCE

DIFFERENCE

50 Years of Experience EMJ Corporation’s extensive network of partners, paired with years of building experience, delivers our clients unique value on every project. A Culture of Servant Leadership EMJ’s team is built on a culture of servant leadership—the desire to lead by example and to inspire and serve others. An EMJ servant leader aspires to be honest, selfless, passionate, smart, responsible and gritty. Through these core values, EMJ employees act as stewards of the client’s goals and vision. The Client Experience EMJ’s vision is to change the industry, one project experience at a time. We want our work to be different—so much better than the way things are traditionally done, that we transform expectations of the construction industry. National Scope, Regional Focus EMJ has regionally designated teams across the country and an extensive network of experienced subcontractors nationwide.

Since 1968, EMJ Corporation has built more than 280 million square feet of construction projects within a variety of industries in 47 states. Whether building an expansive shopping center, renovating a historic building or constructing a distribution center, EMJ focuses on delivering unique value through servant leadership to clients, partners and colleagues. APPROACH Concept-to-Completion (C2C®) is EMJ’s team approach to delivering unique value to clients, partners and colleagues. C2C empowers our team to produce an exceptional client experience through four strategic steps: Ask, Listen, Think and Do. The EMJ team performs these steps to customize its approach to each construction project based on a client’s vision, values and expectations. C2C promotes trust and collaboration, which cultivates proactive solutions, project strategies, risk identification and mitigation, maximized project potential, client satisfaction and unique client value. Through C2C, teams expand the construction approach from a focus on “building” and “immediate cost” to value and client-desired results. $12.6B # Total Construction Value of Engineering News-Record’s Top 400 Contractors in the U.S. Since 1968

CodeScience EMJ converted an existing space in an older downtown building to be the modern headquarters for CodeScience. Lamp Post Development Lamp Post Group, a growing venture incubator, enlisted the EMJ team to construct its unique office space within the Historic Loveman’s building, a century-old department store. The interior buildout contrasts a brightly colored office space with the antique brick exterior walls and original hardwood floors. The contemporary design includes glass-walled offices, distinct collaboration areas and a conference room shored by state-of-the-art audio visual systems. High-level acoustical treatments were also incorporated to limit noise intrusion into individual workspaces within the office’s 4,800 square feet of call center space.

Warehouse Row EMJ played a key role in repurposing a Civil War fort turned textile warehouse into an upscale mixed-use development and premier shopping, dining and entertainment venue in downtown Chattanooga. The team renovated the building’s basement into Two Ten Jack, a unique, modern restaurant space, which included building out the space, remodeling the existing restrooms, and performing a complete landlord mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) retrofit. EMJ also renovated the fourth floor to meet the office space needs of two companies, Bellhops and SIGNiX, performing selective demolition, renovation and construction on both spaces, including interior aluminum storefronts, HVAC upgrades, and significant electrical rework.
