People Management

Asset Reporting • Produce annual and monthly reports on the Sinking Fund Works performance against the cost budget and works programme for each SPV. Provide asset management reports to, and when requested attend relevant board meetings including Executive Leadership meetings, Group Board meetings, SPV and Partnership Boards etc. • Prepare Sinking Fund and Life Cycle reports to ensure the SPVs comply with relevant finance agreement obligations including the Bond Common Terms Agreement and Monitoring Services Agreement. Respond to queries and provide information to funders, technical advisers, and rating agencies. Additional Responsibilities • Work closely with the Defect Manager, contractors, and URS colleagues to undertake identification, management, and resolution of defects. This includes investigation, preparation and updating of reports as required. • Undertake analysis, planning and delivery of projects related to fire safety remedial works of internal passive fire protection and fire doors across the portfolio. Support URS site teams with centralised tendering and procurement of internal passive fire protection and fire door surveys as required. • Work closely with UPP’s Commercial and Pre-Construction teams to prepare bid life cycle models which consider whole life value whilst ensuring that UPP remains competitive. • Work closely with the Head of Energy and Environment to undertake analysis, planning and delivery of energy efficiency projects such as LED lighting, water saving and other projects which may be approved for investment. • Identifying opportunities in asset management to reduce cost across the portfolio. • Work closely with the Pre-Construction team on product development to ensure that product development ideas and design concepts are carried through to Sinking Fund and related projects. Ensure standardisation of good design in the delivery of Sinking Fund Works. • Where required, prepare, and manage design proposals for each site with support from interior design expertise. • Provide technical advice to URS site teams, other UPP departments and liaise with and manage technical advisers involved in asset management activities. • As a member of relevant internal groups, champion continuous improvement by engaging in lessons learnt and knowledge / good practice sharing sessions to enhance UPP’s overall asset management and accommodation offer.

• Act as an ambassador for the Above and Beyond Behaviour Framework, empowering colleagues to challenge behaviours that do not align. • Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, coaching and supervision of the team. • Ensure that reporting lines engage in regular and meaningful performance development conversations i.e. 1-1’s and the formal PDR process. • Identify and work, with HR’s support, to address performance concerns as they arise and without delay. • Ensure that the team consistently achieve full compliance in training, and subsequent record keeping. Identify and liaise with the Talent team to address any additional training needs within the team. • Lead on communication and engagement strategies and actions within the team. • Plan and organise staff resources - monitoring absences, timekeeping, and additional staff expenses, ensuring that resources are appropriately aligned to the delivery of business requirements. • Enhance and develop the capability of the team, continually working to drive improved performance.

Other Information

• The post holder will be required to regularly travel to other UPP sites, with associated overnight stays. • Consistently perform in a manner which aligns to Above and Beyond Behaviour Framework • Other duties as commensurate within the post
