Embed Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into pedagogy and best practice across the School. Rationale: UDL practice removes barriers to give all students equal opportunities to succeed. The further embedding of UDL will help to increase confidence and support faculty to teach inclusively.

Ensure that UDL is included in WBS pedagogy strategy, webpages and communications created to promote UDL best practice and launch UDL champions. Review the integration of UDL principles at programme level via course reviews. Train faculty in designing a socially inclusive curriculum.

Strategy statements include reference to UDL. Webpages in place and staff awareness is high (measured via page views). Focus groups completed and student voice incorporated into guidance. A team of UDL champions identified within the School with at least two female champions. All courses reviewed via PSC processes have an action plan for improving inclusivity. Emerging themes reported to EDIC from 2027 onwards. 60% of teaching faculty to have attended or completed online course in inclusive curriculum training by September 2028. Host an event in inclusivity in teaching practice. Improved reporting of students who may benefit from academic writing support.
