Continue to develop a culture where EDI is reflected within the identity and values of the School Rationale: The School are currently in early planning stages for a new building. We are aware from the Wheelchair Challenge and SSLC feedback that the current building poses a number of challenges to accessibility and inclusivity. Therefore, we are committed to ensure EDI considerations are embedded throughout the design and development of the new building. It is important that the new space is accessible, enables a culture of inclusivity and promotes positive wellbeing. Note: New actions will be incorporated into this priority as planning of the new building evolves.

Work with architects and design team to ensure that EDI is embedded in the principles of the design of the building. Agree with EDIC a stakeholder engagement plan with key user communities representative of the WBS community, e.g. UoW Menopause Network. Ensure the new building has inclusive facilities, such as gender-neutral toilets, inside/ outside spaces, wellbeing room and changing spaces toilets. Ensure Change Maker branding in the current and new building are gender balanced and reflective of diverse communities. Conduct an EIA on use of the new building to ensure any inequalities identified have mitigating actions to address these.
