We are seeking a highly motivated and pro-active Facilities Manager (Cleaning Services) to play a key role in the delivery of our strategy to provide high quality cleaning service and an exceptional student/customer experience. Working as part of the Senior Management Team you will be responsible for the management and delivery of an effective cleaning service across the main University campus. You will lead, motivate and develop your teams of staff to deliver an effective and efficient service in line with our strategic priorities and goals; including ensuring the delivery of an efficient and cost effective Cleaning Service. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all current legislation and best industry practices. You will have significant experience of leading and managing staff within a cleaning function as well as experience of working as part of a management team. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with others and build effective working relationships.

What does the role entail?

As a Facilities Manager (Cleaning Services) your main duties will include:

• Leading, managing and motivating staff to deliver a service in line with the expectations set out in the Service’s and University strategic aims. Ensuring that staff are appropriately appraised and developed and that two-way communication takes place effectively; • Contributing to the development of strategic plans for the service and translating these into action plans and objectives fo r staff, ensuring that these align with the strategic objectives of the service and the University
