The judges were extremely impressed with this year’s winner, saying: “Great testimonials and induction pack showing a real focus on the company culture. Which is important with such a personal function. Commitment to customer service is evident and there was great communication during lockdown.”

AWARDED TO: CINTRA HR & PAYROLL SERVICES LTD

“This award means more than ever this year. Payroll professionals have been under immense pressure – remote working, changes to legislation, introduction of new legislation and processes – it’s been a tough year on all fronts that’s for sure. “I’m so proud that the team at Cintra have been recognised for the truly amazing effort they put in to making sure that our customers continued to receive the top class service they have come to expect from us. These challenging times have brought out the best in the Cintra family, who have remained the friendly face of HR and payroll throughout. We worked hand in hand (metaphorically obviously… no touching allowed at the moment!) with our clients to make sure that, although remote, they never felt alone. We were there as the 4th emergency service whenever they needed us.

“To be recognised by the CIPP as payroll service provider of the year is truly a ray of sunshine in a stormy sky!”

Carsten Staehr FCIPP, Cintra HR & Payroll Services Ltd

SPECIALAWARD INRECOGNITIONOF SERVICES TO PAYROLL 2020 has been a challenging year for us all and payroll professionals have been recognised as key workers in light of the work they have to undertake in implementing the government’s job retention scheme. HM Revenue & Customs have had to demonstrate innovative thinking, speed of action, design, implementation and issue of the scheme, followed by the job support scheme, often with little notice or time to consult. However, HMRC has worked closely with the CIPP and other key stakeholders to issue and update regular guidance to ensure that payroll professionals were equipped with as much detail and information as possible, and often adapted and changed these based on real life scenarios and feedback provided.

THIS SPECIAL AWARD IN RECOGNITION OF SERVICES TO PAYROLL, IS PRESENTED TO HMRC.

“I am delighted that HMRC has won the Special Award at the CIPP conference. It’s a tribute to the hard work of HMRC colleagues during Covid-19 and a proud moment for us all. I very much look forward to working further with CIPP as we go forward to better times.”

Angela MacDonald CBE, HM Revenue & Customs
