4. Provide technical and clerical assistance as may be required by the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Governing Body, and other agencies and officials of the City in the exercise of their duties relating to these Zoning Regulations. a. Receive, file and forward to the Planning Commission the applications and records for all amendments and special uses which are initially filed with the Zoning Administrator. b. Receive, file and forward to the Board of Zoning Appeals the applications and records for all variances and conditional uses which are initially filed with the Zoning Administrator. (1) On request of the Board's Secretary, forward all records of appeals to the Board of Zoning Appeals. 5. Maintain permanent and current public records of Zoning Regulations and associated documents. a. Maintain past and current copies of Andover's Zoning Regulations , including any amendments. b. Maintain the official copies of Andover's Zoning Map , showing zoning district boundaries. (1) According to K.S.A. 12-753, each official copy of the Zoning Map must be marked "Official copy of zoning district map, incorporated into Zoning Regulations by adoption of Ordinance No. _____ by the Governing Body of the City of Andover on the _____ day of (month), (year)". (2) Periodic changes to the Zoning Map must be noted by a revision date. (3) Each Official Zoning Map must be signed by the Mayor, and attested to by the City Clerk. (4) The Zoning Map must be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.
ARTICLE 10. ADMINISTRATION & ENFORCEMENT 100 Zoning Administration A. A Zoning Administrator must be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council. 1. The Zoning Administrator may serve concurrently as the City's Subdivision Administrator. B. Designees. As necessary to efficiently fulfill zoning administration requirements, the Zoning Administrator may delegate certain tasks described in this Article to designated City staff members. The Zoning Administrator retains responsibility for making sure that zoning administration tasks are accomplished, whether done personally or by designees. C. Duties of Zoning Administrator. Except for those duties specifically assigned to the City Clerk, the Zoning Administrator administers and enforces these Zoning Regulations, with technical or clerical assistance as may be approved from time to time. The Zoning Administrator must: 1. Approve and issue all zoning permits and occupancy certificates . 2. Approve or disapprove requested administrative adjustments , as required by Section 10-100E of these Zoning Regulations. 3. Inspect buildings, structures and uses of land to determine compliance with these Zoning Regulations.
