WORK-SITE UTILITY VEHICLE: A motor vehicle which is at least 48 inches wide, has an unladen weight (including fuel and fluids) of more than 800 pounds, and is equipped with at least 4 nonhighway tires, a steering wheel, and bench or bucket-type seating allowing at least 2 people to sit side-by-side. It may also be equipped with a bed or cargo box for hauling materials. 1. This term does not include MICRO UTILITY TRUCKS.
XERISCAPE: Landscaping which emphasizes water conservation techniques, utilizing the following seven principles: 1. Plan and design with careful attention to drainage patterns, light conditions, and plant selection. 2. Use soil amendments to improve the water holding capacity of the soil. 3. Use efficient irrigation methods and equipment. 4. Select site-specific, hardy plant materials, and then group all plants according to their sun and moisture needs. 5. Minimize the use of turfgrass, using it only where it provides functional benefits. Where possible, select drought-tolerant turf species such as buffalograss. 6. Mulch. 7. Provide appropriate and timely maintenance.
