The Good News Story

OUR COLLEGE SONG

OUR COLLEGE PRAYER

Good News Lutheran College’s song, We are the children of the Good News, was written by Pastor Milo Velebir in 1999, and was later produced on CD in 2001. To coincide with the school’s 25-year celebrations, the song was re-introduced to the College at both our 25-year assemblies and Jubilee Gala Ball. Our Middle Years band and Year 3 students re-recorded an updated version in 2022. “I wrote it and recorded it myself in a professional recording studio in Altona Meadows. When the need for a school song was mentioned at a few School Council meetings, I wrote the words in one session and then recorded voice tracks, so that they could be used at assemblies to sing along.” Pastor Milo Velebir

To coincide with our 25th birthday, GNLC’s 2022 Middle and Senior Mission and Worship leaders collaborated to author a College prayer. Our College prayer represents a new Good News tradition, uniting our community of students, staff, families and friends in worship.
