Since our last catalogue in 2025–2026, the global economy – and consequently our truck and trailer sector – has been through tough times. Global tensions are not only causing - hopefully temporary - higher energy costs and an uncertain investment climate, but also a general sense of uncertainty about future relations and peace. Hopefully, we will be able to leave this sort of introduction behind us in the 2028–2029 catalogue edition, and there will once again be calm and peace on both the economic and human fronts.

At Versus however, we have once more used the past two years to develop new products and improvements and will never stop exploring solutions to help our customers even better in the future. We are therefore delighted to present no less than 12 innovations in this 2027–2028 edition!

In 2005 Versus started with the first product line, the Omega sliding roofs , which today is still our main product line! Because of the red omega folding plates the Versus sliding roofs open easily and nearly effortless. The patented omega shape of the folding plate absorbs every movement. In order to make optimal use of the internal height, Versus has developed Omega 35 , a completely new roof generation. The roof sticks, rear carriage, aluminium roof rails and folding plates have been redesigned, resulting in a total roof height of only 35mm . In the new generation of ALTO 35 and DUO 35 roof rails we have added a channel in which a LED strip for interior lighting can be mounted.

SMALLERTHAN STANDARD OMEGA FOLDING PLATES

The new Omega 35 folding plates are not only flatter, but have also been given a new and sleak Omega shape (patented). When folded these are in the top 38 mm smaller than the standard Omega folding plate, resulting in an even smoother opening of the sliding roof.

While most curtainsider rollers only have 2 vertical running wheels, our patented roller features a 3rd horizontal ball bearing . TRIKE was born. This ball bearing ensures that when opening and closing, as well as tightening the roof tarpaulin, the ball bearing runs against the aluminium rail. Hence, the vertical wheels cannot wear out and cannot block, resulting in a highly user friendly roller with a longer lifespan .

Versus has developed 3 folding plates with the patented Omega folding system. Ì The first version, after 20 years of service, is still going strong and proves its qualities on a daily basis. Ì The second version of reinforced folding plates is used with extra heavy roof tarpaulins. Ì The latest and redesigned lower version 35 creates more cargo space in the truck. The patented Omega shape ensures that the plastic folding plates have limited elasticity and compressibility, ensuring proper operation and a long service life. No matter what roof tarpaulin needs to be opened… the Omega folding plates do their job!

In cooperation with the Belgian PVC fabric specialist Sioen, Versus-Omega developed the revolutionary “Carapax” roof cover.

VERSUS QUALITY

Axially reinforced with aramid fibers, it renders the superstructure more stable in order to easily pass the requested load security tests such as EN 12642 XL. The cover works like a Carapax of a turtle over the roof. Use your sliding roof like you always did: no cables hanging inside like a spider web . All Versus sliding roofs are standard equipped with fixing points to easily mount the Carapax roof cover.

BROOKLYN ROOF COVER

Versus-Omega is always looking to optimize and reduce costs of the products it offers.

Besides the Carapax roof tarpaulin, we now also offer our Brooklyn roof tarpaulin .

VERSUS QUALITY

We start from a standard roof tarpaulin and add diagonal welding tapes. The welding tapes start in a specific pattern from the headboard and back diagonally towards the sides of the roof. Thus we obtain a light but strong web that absorbs diagonal and lateral forces when taking sharp and S-curves. The diagonal welding tapes are connected to the corresponding roof sticks.

Brooklyn is also tested and approved according to the EN12642 Code XL standard.

Why we choose the name Brooklyn? Have a look at New York’s famous bridge!

Article 5 of Annex 2 to Revision 12 of the UNECE TIR Handbook states only the following:

Ì The roof and/or roof tarpaulin must not be, nor must it be possible, to be removed without causing visible damage or leaving visible traces

Ì The roof and/or roof tarpaulin must be fitted in such a way that it is impossible to gain access to the load without causing damage or leaving visible damage

The manner in which this is constructed, and whether this applies to both new and old vehicles, is solely a matter for the user and, consequently, the trailer manufacturer. Market research has shown that there are many different interpretations of these two sentences from the manual, meaning that the intended end result of a TIR -compliant sliding-roof trailer will not always be achieved. This, unfortunately, poses significant risks for users in the event of an inspection!

The new Versus TIR Click&Go therefore combines three elements:

PENTA SLIDER SYSTEMS

Worldwide a lot of commercial vehicles are equipped with PVC side curtains, commonly called traditional curtainsiders. This traditional curtain runs through a top rail and is fixed with buckles to the chassis. A Penta slider system has rollers both at the top and bottom of the curtain, running through a top and bottom rail. As a result a Penta slider doesn’t need buckles anymore! The Penta slider opens fast; the cargo space is accessible in seconds. The Penta slider is not only fast, but ensures an easy and effortless job. The bespoke locks keep the nicely folded Penta package in a fixed position. No more open blowing curtains; wind doesn’t stand a chance anymore. The folded package can easily switch sides of the cargo space. All this and more using a range of user friendly Penta door systems. On top of this, the value of advertisement can’t be underestimated. The entire curtain surface can be used for striking advertisement or your company logo. PENTA CITY GOES THE LAST MILE.

Penta City and Penta City PRO are slider systems, ideal for quick and safe loading or unloading in busy city centres. Especially developed for sustainable city distribution, where the system will be opened multiple times a day. The Penta curtain rollers in the top and bottom rail of the Penta City are only connected by the curtain, while the Penta City PRO connects the rollers through a alu tube. The systems have a very low weight, but are still capable of succeeding XL tests, depending on the maximum net payload of the vehicle and the type of Penta City and City Pro used. The various Penta City and City Pro systems ensure that the cargo space can be opened and closed very quickly and easily, so that these Penta trucks can quickly leave the busy city centre and cause as little inconvenience as possible. As the Penta side curtains are guided by rollers in a top and bottom rail, they fold neatly against the vehicle when opened and do not cause any nuisance to passers-by or passing vehicles.

The smooth and synchronised outwards folding of the curtains is made possible by the patented curtain-pockets and springs.

PENTAWAVE:THE SLIDER SYSTEM FOR HEAVY COMMERCIAL TRUCKS AND TRAILERS Penta City & Penta City PRO are ideally suited for LCV Vehicles (Light commercial vehicles). As load capacity is extremely important here, these City systems are fitted only with a reinforced tarpaulin or lightweight aluminium mini-pillars. The Wave and both WALL systems on the other hand, are ideally suited for heavier-duty work on vehicles with a load capacity of up to 27 tonnes. These systems have, of course, all been dynamically tested in accordance with the requirements of the EN 12642XL standard. The advantages of these three systems compared to a traditional curtain-sider are the effortless, quick and safe opening and closing of the side walls:

The folding plates forcing the side curtain to fold nicely into a “Wave” are made of plastic. These plates are available in lengths of 470 & 650 mm, allowing to manage the distance between the mini- pillars. Depending on the type of cargo, this distance can be increased or decreased.

In this version of the Wave, the plastic or metal folding plates are replaced by aluminium panels. These not only ensure the correct folding of the side curtain, but also offer numerous options for securing the cargo in the truck.

Removing the vertical mini pillars and the quick-lock door creates a even more FREE-dom. While opening the system, the FREE-panels extend ±30mm from the side edge.

Not only does our Penta system offer the many advantages of easy, secure and ergonomic opening and closing of the curtain, it comes with two different options for load security as well.

Patented aramid straps integrated into the tarpaulin are fitted with loops over the entire length. These aramid straps are connected at the Quick Lock doors and are directly attached to the front wall of the trailer when the doors are closed.

WHEN PENTA MEETS AXCES: ENDLESS PRODUCT COMBINATIONS Big logistical challenges? Fast loading and unloading of goods up to maximum capacity? Versus has the solution: Penta Wave-, Wall-, and Free Wall Axces offer the same advantages and options as Penta Wave, complemented with a manual or automatic Axces lifting roof. The high and slim Alto Penta rail was especially designed for the Penta Wave Axces, providing a loading width of 2480 mm between the rails. Telescopic pins and hinges are integrated in the doors and (mini) pillars. Combine it with our Axces systems – either corner by corner or automatic - and the roof can be lifted up to 500 mm, rendering the cargo space optimally accessible. In comparison to Penta Wave, Penta Wave Axces needs one or two outside straps , to secure the roof from lifting off during driving.

PENTA WAVE MEGA AXCES, AVARIANT OFTHE PENTA WAVE AXCES Penta Wave Mega Axces is at this moment a variant of the Penta Wave Axces, made for Mega trailers that need to be driven with a (limited) variable height. The mini pillars as well as the side curtains are adjustable and lockable in height (patented solution). The patented folding system of the side curtain can consequently be locked in 2 positions. This Penta Wave Mega Axces is only available with the plastic folding plates and does not allow the use of PW Quick Lock doors. For safety reasons, Penta Wave Mega Axces needs a couple of outside straps to secure the roof from lifting off while driving.

PENTA SWING: MAKING LOADING AND UNLOADING EVEN MORE EFFICIENT The Swing variants of the Penta family allow the entire side curtain to be pushed over the front/rear of the trailer, which makes the cargo area fully accessible from the side. Loading and unloading has never been so quick and easy! How it works: depending on the configuration of your truck/ trailer and local legislation, add curved aluminium top and stainless steel bottom rails to the front and/or rear section. The curved rails are available in both R300 and R500 radius, allowing to have both Penta Wave sides in the front/rear of the vehicle. Quick Lock doors and sliding pillars have adapted rollers, allowing them to easily get through the curves. The Swing variant is currently available for 3 Penta systems .

AXCES LIFTING SYSTEMS

Easy access with Axces

Save time, while making efficient use of the available cargo space. This technology makes it possible to lift the roof, which makes loading and unloading a lot easier and faster.

The Axces lifting systems are all hydraulic systems:

The patented hinges and sliding bars of the Set Connect make sure the Axces lifting systems work either way.

MANUAL LIFTING SYSTEMS

The Axces Hydraman is a single lifting system that can lift the roof manually up to 500 mm It has a pump on each corner of the truck/trailer; 4 pumps are needed to equip a whole truck/trailer, each pump goes up in turn, corner by corner.

In addition to the well-known steel version, we now also have an all-aluminium version.

The Set Connect connects the pumps to the roof.

MANUAL LIFTING SYSTEMS

Collaboration is key with the Axces Hydratwin Operate 1 pump and lift the entire side of the roof in one go

The pressure is passed from one cylinder to the other via a hydraulic connection and the front and rear of one side rise simultaneously. You can operate the entire truck/trailer with 2 systems. The Set Connect connects the cylinders to the roof, similar to the Hydraman system.

HYDRAMATIC S2 With the Hydramatic type S2, you can also lift each side of the roof separately or both sides of the roof at the same time. But what’s unique about the Hydramatic S2, is that each pair of cylinders (front and rear) will always rise simultaneously .

Versus-Omega developed Hydramax out of customers’ need for an affordable, durable and absolutely synchronous roof lifting system. Think of special applications in transport of poultry, among others. The basis is a specially developed extruded and anodised aluminium cylinder containing 1, 2 or 3 hydraulic pistons that raise and lower either 1 side, 2 sides or 2 sides with 3 lifting cylinders each in absolute synchrony. The lifting height ranges from standard 500mm to an unprecedented 1000mm.

SET CONNECT

Set Connect is the system of lifting bars & tubes and hinges, placed above the hydraulic lifting roof cylinders, for easy lifting of the roof and, if necessary, only one side of the vehicle. The lifting bar has a specific “bone-shape” that will minimize friction when sliding in the guide tube, making lifting or lowering the roof easier and smoother. These lifting bars and tubes are available in a full steel , as well as a hollow tube version.

LIFT&DRIVE

Lift & Drive The Set Connect Lift & Drive has been developed for vehicles with a lifting roof, needing to drive in the raised position. With the standard version, the height can be adjusted by moving a pin in the guide tube by 50mm steps . Due to the height, the operator will most likely need to get on the vehicle. Lift & Drive PRO The PRO version features a toothed guide, making it easier and safer to perform the operation from ground level and even by steps of 25mm.

This allows for flexibility and convenience , without the need for extensive inventory.This not only saves you costs but also valuable space . Additionally, we always use the same monobolts for assembly, eliminating the need for different fasteners for different parts. This ensures efficient and accurate assembly, reducing errors . Last but not least, we made sure that spare parts are easily replaceable so you can quickly fix any damages . If you should have an accident that damages the pillar, it is not necessary to replace the entire pillar. It suffices to only replace the damaged part. With our Versus sliding pillars, we are able to offer a scala of possibilities due to the interchangeable components.

FOCUS ON ERGONOMICS

Traditional sliding pillars, while functional, may pose the risk of inadvertently dropping down upon opening. The double interlock system of the Scala pillar ensures that the pillar remains steadfast and secure when handling, eliminating any concerns of accidental falling when the pillar is opened. OXOTENSION SYSTEMS

OXO tension systems: a set of patented solutions to transport the following goods safely and according to the applicable standards:

The OXO system is an option for a sliding-curtains fitted with vertically integrated aluminium slats , better known as a slatted curtains or Planken planen. By using our TRIKE rollers, this OXO slatted curtains can be opened or closed just as easily as a traditional sliding curtain. The OXO slatted curtain is fitted horizontally with two pockets in which the OXO tension straps can move freely. At the level of the Scala pillars, the pockets are interrupted so that the horizontal OXO tension strap is visible here. At the front and rear, this OXO strap is fitted with a hook and a tensioning ratchet.

TENSION SYSTEM FOR EXPANDABLE CARGO Our Oxo tension system can be used for a wide variety of different types of expandable cargo . Here, we’re using tyre transport as an example to illustrate the challenges that you face with traditional transport, and the solutions Oxo provides for expandable cargo.

Due to its nature, tyre transport has quite some challenges. Next to the high weight of the cargo, the loosely stacked tyres tend to put the superstructure of a curtainsider trailer under high stress with strong bulging as a result. This is not only dangerous, but also extends the width of the vehicle beyond the permissible width. Example | Tyre transport without OXO Example | Tyre transport with OXO OXO consists of a sliding side curtain with horizontally integrated straps, in combination with the SCALA sliding pillars and the OXO strap tensioners . This combination makes it possible to reinforce the superstructure to such an extent that bulging of the side curtains - when loaded - is no longer possible.

HOWTO USETHE OXO SYSTEM

If the OXO slatted curtain is not required for an expandable cargo:

The OXO holders are aligned with the Scala pillars. The horizontal OXO strap is free in the curtain with vertical slats and is not attached to the Scala pillar.

To prepare the OXO system for the transport of an expandable cargo:

1 Move the OXO rollers on the Scala pillars inwards

2 Thread the

horizontal OXO strap through the OXO rollers

3 Hook the OXO strap onto the trailer corners at both the front and the rear

The aluminum slats and the tarpaulin now curve inwards and loading can begin the vertical slats in the tarpaulin curve inwards 4 Tighten the horizontal OXO strap with the ratchet so
