Where can you find great games, big-screen TVs with space to host your next party, the latest sports action, group game shows, summer camps, field trips, child care and more — all under one roof?

Amped Up! serves guests as a destination for field trips, as well as parties, team-building exercises, sports broadcasts, teen nights and many other functions. Amrhine noted several aspects of Amped Up! that help distinguish it from the competition, including its 240-inch projection screens, its upscale game lounge, its live game shows and its recent addition of before- and after- school child care. “As we now look towards expansion plans, St. John is working with us on construction costs,” Amrhine added. “This is a great help to us. They have also kept us in the loop as new tenants move into the building, allowing us to plan for our expansion while considering the needs of all parties involved.”

In the Baltimore area, students, parents, teachers, business leaders and anyone who enjoys fun are getting amped up — at Amped Up! Family Amphitheatre, that is. Amped Up! has been providing family fun since October 2010. Mike Amrhine, the company’s owner and managing mem- ber, previously served as a schoolteacher for 13 years in Baltimore County, where he worked with elementary students and focused on technology. From there, Amrhine began offering fun, educational, technology-driven shows for school assemblies. “The kids loved it and didn’t even realize they were learning while being entertained,” he said. “This then led to a larger vision of what could be accom- plished at a fixed location in the White Marsh area.”

This brought Amrhine to St. John Proper- ties. “St. John Properties seemed to have a very good presence here, so we talked to them first,” he explained. “This has been a great spot for us, combining a convenient location with reasonable cost. We are just five minutes from a major shopping dis- trict and two interstate highways, so we have great proximity to a busy area with an affordable lease.”
