Hallucination A response generated by AI which contains false or misleading information, often with no explanation of where it came from. Large Language Model (LLM) A type of AI that has been trained on a vast amount of text data to understand and generate human-like language. Machine Learning A subset of AI that allows computers to learn from and make predictions or decisions based on data. Meta AI Meta’s generative AI program, which is integrated into Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp. Network Aggregation The process of combining multiple network connections or data streams to increase bandwidth and reliability. Perplexity An AI-powered search engine that is designed to answer questions by citing factual research. Personally identifiable information (PII) Information connected to a specific individual that can be used to uncover that individual's identity, such as their social security number, full name, email address, or phone number. Prompt Instructions or questions a human enters into an AI tool in order to get responses.
