CONOR PERREAULT // SENIOR Track & Cross Country

"I first started coming to Rebound Fitness halfway through my junior year of highschool. I was recovering from a stress fracture in my hip that had derailed my last cross country season. I was trying to figure out a way to get my running career back on track. I spent the first several weeks working just to get my basic strength and mobility back into my hip but quickly realized how many other weaknesses I had. When I went to Rebound Fitness, Greg evaluated my running mechanics, and was able to quickly spot the source of the injuries and pains I had endured over the past few years. I soon started to come to Rebound Fitness, for physical therapy as well as sport specific training. With all the workouts the staff at Rebound gave me, I was able to get stronger and healthier than I ever had been. By the time my senior year cross country season started, I was in the best shape of my life despite having missed nearly four months of running. As the season continued, I noticed I was able to train harder without fatiguing, and at the end of the season, I finished 5th at the IHSA State meet– a huge improvement from 80th place the year before. I was excited by this success and continued to train at Rebound over the winter to get ready for my track season. As we continued to work on my strength and form, I was more ready than ever to race. I won the 3200m indoor state final, and then continued to drop time into the outdoor season– all within a year of the injury that kept me out of running for months. Just like everyone else I have seen come to Rebound, my training has improved dramatically in a short amount of time. I am sure that I would not have had such a successful senior year or be an incoming runner for the University of Wisconsin without the help of the entire staff at Rebound Fitness" - Conor Perreault
