Absolute Upgrades Multiple Bobst Flexo Presses Absolute has recently converted two Bobst Biele- feld flexo presses to 2G Carbon Fibre chambers for client East Riding Sacks (ERS), a UK manufacturer of paper sacks. ERS’ relationship with Absolute has developed since 2015 when they needed to replace the chambers on its 6-color F+K 16S. “After a testing period [with Absolute], we reviewed the performance and found that it gave us significant improvements in press cleanliness, speed of blade change and ergonomics and, on this basis, decided to replace the remaining seven units,” said Jürgen Bopzin, East Ridings Technical Engineering Director. After several months, ERS decided it would also up- grade their 8-color Bobst F+K 20SIX press, an installa- tion now completed. Veritiv Completes Acquisition Of All American Containers Veritiv Corporation,Atlanta, Georgia, has completed the acquisition of All American Containers, a family- owned and operated distributor of rigid packaging, including plastic, glass and metal containers, caps,
closures and plastic pouches. The acquisition provides Veritiv additional market- ing, selling and distribution channels into the grow- ing U.S. rigid packaging market. The rigid packaging market’s primary segments include paperboard, plas- tics, metal and glass. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, All American Con- tainers had trailing twelve month revenues of ap- proximately $225 million as of June 30.The company has approximately 260 employees and more than 1 million square feet of warehousing facilities located in Miami and Tampa, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Somer- set, New Jersey; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illi- nois; Houston, Texas; Kalama, Washington; Catano, Puerto Rico; and in Simi Valley, Windsor, Santa Rosa and San Leandro, California. Label Technology Purchases Laserlox System Label Technology, Inc., a label and flexible packag- ing manufacturer in Merced, California, has pur- chased a Laserlox anilox roll cleaning system from Eaglewood Technologies. The Laserlox system will service the new PCMC ten-color press and legacy mid-web presses in its new Flexible Packaging Plant.
