In the ever-evolving landscape of Northwest Houston, one construction company stands out not just for the homes it builds, but for the revolutionary approach it takes. Royal Design Build, led by the visionary Matthew Reibenstein, is rewriting the rules of custom homebuilding with an unwavering commitment to transparency, and quality. "I realized I would rather be on job sites and in job trailers," Matthew reminisces, his passion palpable even over the phone. This pivotal realization transformed his career path from a civil engineer to a hands-on custom home builder, leading to the creation of Royal Design Build 15 years ago.

From Engineer to Visionary Builder

From the outset, Matthew’s vision was clear: he wanted to craft unique, custom homes that broke away from the monotonous repetition of production building. "I always wanted to do custom homes because I like unique projects. I like things to be different," he explains. This passion for variety and creativity is at the heart of Royal Design Build’s operations, driving them to embrace projects that reflect the individuality of each homeowner. But what truly sets Royal Design Build apart is its radical transparency. "One of my big things was trying to be as transparent as possible," Matthew emphasizes. "We show all of our homeowners the numbers so that they can understand. Here's what the cost is. Here's what I'm making off of it. It's a very open book transaction."

This open-book policy is more than just a business strategy; it’s a philosophy that builds trust and fosters a collaborative spirit between the company and its clients. Projects as Unique as the Homeowners Royal Design Build’s portfolio is as diverse as its client base, ranging from cozy 1,600- square-foot homes to sprawling 6,000- square-foot estates. "I've done a 1,600- square-foot custom home and I've done 6,000-plus. It really just depends on the homeowner and their needs and wants and desires," says Matthew.
