FGCE Announces Academic Scholarships
The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education (The FGCE), a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the graphic communications industry’s future workforce through educa- tional scholarships, has announced its schol- arship awards for the 2026/27 academic year. Continuing Education The FGCE awarded scholarships to 151 students enrolled at 73 universities, colleges, and technical schools across the United States. In total, $551,000 was awarded this
Bobst and Co-ëfficiënt will host “From Theory to Performance,” an op- erations-focused open house running on November 17–18, 2026, at the Bobst Atlanta Competence Center in Cumming, Georgia.
The open house will examine how converters can move beyond general discussions about efficiency and create a practical path to- ward measurable improvements. Led by John Anderson, Director, North America Operations & Consulting, Co-ëfficiënt, the day has been curated to offer insights on topics including overall equipment effec- tiveness (OEE), uptime, throughput, waste, and production consistency. “Converters are under constant pressure to produce more while maintaining quality and controlling costs,” said Katie Graham, MarCom Director, Americas, Bobst. “This event is designed to connect the indi- vidual parts of the workflow and show where practical improvements can begin. By bringing Co-ëfficiënt’s operational perspective togeth- er with the technology and demonstration capabilities of the Atlanta Competence Center, we can productively lead the conversation from individual features to measurable production outcomes.” Event Highlights A key focus will be the role of process stability in making extended color gamut (ECG) printing a repeatable production practice at scale. The program will explore why disciplined job preparation, standardized

Seventy-six students renewed their scholarships by continuing in their pro- grams and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher, while 75 new full- and part-time students re- ceived first-time awards. Industry Support This year, The FGCE received more than 1,000 scholarship applications. In addition to scholarships, The FGCE sup- ports students through its annual Educational Grant Program and Design Contests for high school and college students.
