Marie-Lise aimerait remercier Manon pour toutes ces belles années de travail partagées ensemble et lui souhaiter une très belle retraite.

Pea soup and a sandwich makes a nice comfort-food lunch. It’s also a nice comforting way for a local church group to raise somemoney asmembers of St. Andrew’s Christian Church in Rockland proved over the April 17 weekend. “We are trying to do some fundraising right now, because we need a new roof,” explained Jacquie Hawken, church organist. “This is not just a church hall, this is a community hall and lots and lots of people are using this hall, so we’re trying to get money together for a new roof.” More than 50 guests sat down at the church for lunch on a warmand sunny Sunday afternoon, among them, in the photo were Rev. Neil Baxter, one of the church ministers, Jacquie Hawken, Rudy Lorrain, Muriel Lebeau, Jean Normend, Sheran Kent, Danika Bourdon, Sadei Veitch, Janet Kent, Barb Lorrain, Phillip Caron and Anna Caron. —photo Véronique Charron
