Student Life
How IUJ students spend their days? A typical student's day.
“Campus life where management skills and cross-cultural skills can be acquired at the same time.” I have been participating in the Intensive MBA program, and working hard to acquire the knowledge necessary to manage a company globally and gain multifaceted thinking skills. IUJ classes are very fulfilling as there are many opportunities to have discussions with international students from all over the world. Through discussions with them, sometimes I become keenly aware of my narrow perspective, but at the same time, I am able to encounter new values and ways of thinking. Although my program takes only one year and we are swamped every day, we actively try to interact with our friends from various countries. In order to shorten the distance between us, we often talk about each other's customs and cultures, even outside of the classroom. In terms of activities, because IUJ is surrounded by a rich natural environment, we are able to enjoy skiing in the winter and strolling

under the full blooming cherry blossom trees in the spring. Through these activities and events, we can deepen our bonds.
My day begins with checking online news/newspapers to see if there is any information available that I can use in class. After that, I get ready and move to the study room from the dormitory to prepare for classes.

1st Period
My favorite class is “Competing in Emerging Markets” . In this class, we learn knowledge necessary for firms and organizations to expand businesses in emerging markets. Discussions with classmates from diverse backgrounds are very exciting and the time goes by very quickly.

2nd Period
I have a lunch in the school cafeteria with classmates. The cafeteria offers a different menu each day. Checking the daily menu is one of my daily pleasures. The cafeteria is always bustling with many students.

3rd·4th Period
I review what I have learned properly during the day at the library. During midterm and term end periods, I often do group work with classmates in the study room.
5:00 PM
After School
After having dinner, I go back to my room to prepare for the next day. Sometimes, student community gatherings are held where students are exposed to other cultures and deepen friendships with each other. We can also discuss any problems or concerns we may have about classes or student life. Any advice from friends is very helpful.
