Man charged

with sexual assault of girl

A 64-year-old Hawkesbury man has been charged following an investigation by

the Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police detachment into allegations a girl had

been sexually assaulted over a period of seven years.

Guy Pageau has been charged with two counts of indecent assault, acts of gross

indecency, rape, sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 14 and sexual

intercourse with a female between the ages of 14 and 16. Pageau was arrested and

released. He is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court July 20 at 9 a.m. for his first

appearance. The charges stemmed from an investigation of a series of alleged sexual

assaults that would have occurred between 1973 and 1980. The Hawkesbury O.P.P.
