2016 OFFICERS & BOARD
Northeast New Jersey Chapter
On Thursday April 21, 2016, the Northeast New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will be offering New Jersey Appraisal Law, Regulations N.J.S.A. 45:14F- 1, et seq. Real Estate Appraisers Act. In April 2015, the NJ State Appraisal Board passed a regulation that requires all licensees take a mandatory 2-hour course starting in the 2016-17 cycle. This course is part of the 28-hour requirement for continuing education every two years and it provides clarity around the Real Estate Appraisers Act passed in 1991. This course is required by NJ regulations every two years. Students will learn about the law itself, the regulations that pertain to the law including specific areas noted in the regulation. On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 the Northeast New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will host it’s 10th Annual Meadowlands Conference. Best known for its convenient, cost-effective appraiser friendly “two hour seminars”, the Chapter is proud to be offering the Conference for this it’s 10th year. However, the appeal of this seminar extends way beyond real estate appraisers. With the excellent cross-section of speakers and seminar topics on tap, this event is very attractive to architects, tax assessors, attorneys, bankers, realtors/brokers, building owners/managers, consultants, environmentalists and planners. The Meadowlands Conference will truly have “something for everyone” and will be an excellent opportunity to network with the top real estate related professionals in the tri-state area. The seminar topics include: • Economic Growth • Meadowlands Development • Representing Clients in the 21st Century Real Estate Transactions • Why Choose NJ The Northeast New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is dedicated to pro- viding its members with cutting-edge educational and networking opportunities. The membership base is well balanced with residential and commercial real estate appraisers. Our members are highly educated and experienced and we welcome new members with open arms. We take pride in our membership development and retention program and cater to entry-level appraisers. The chapter has a reputation with providing its members with leadership opportu- nities. As a “relatively small chapter” we have the reputation of being an “intimate group” where everybody knows your name and everyone’s opinion is considered important. We are able to act quickly on member suggestions and take advantage of learning opportunities as they present themselves. If anyone is interested in attending the NJ Appraisal Law, Regulations seminar or the Meadowlands Conference, becoming a member, or wants to be put on our mailing list please contact our Chapter Executive Director Stacey Klein at (201) 796-1171 or nenjai@aol.com or visit our website at www.nnjchapter-ai.org and contact any of our board or general members. • Approval Process for Real Estate Development • The New Jersey Real Estate Market Report
