Eta Phi Chapter Leading at Texas A&M

In 2017, the Avoid Debt (G.L.A.D.), Serving Engaged and Empowered & Diverse Students (S.E.E.D.S.) and Leadership Engage- ment & Development (L.E.A.D.), among others.

Southwestern Province recognized the Eta Phi Chapter as its Small Chapter of the Year. In addition, the chapter has worked to support numerous campus and fraternal initiatives and programs. The chapter also worked diligently to ensure its annual events focuses on promoting social awareness, cultural diversity and awareness of campus resources. The Eta Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi ® was chartered on the campus of East Texas State University (ETSU), now Texas A&M University at Com- merce, on February 1, 1975. Today, the Eta Phi Chapter is busy on the TAMU– Commerce campus participating in several campus programs and partner- ships, including the Male Achievement Network (M.A.N), Greeks Learning to

This past year, the chapter hosted the 1525 Memorial Game which is a charity basketball game honoring two past bas- ketball players who tragically lost their lives in a fatal car accident the summer of 2014. The game pitted the Eta Phi Chapter against the Zeta Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and brought a crowd from the local community and the campus together to honor the two young women and their families. The chapter sponsored numerous clean up community service programs after big events on campus. Addition- ally, the chapter supported a national fraternity initiative with a monetary do- nation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The chapter is relying on the support and participation from the Spring 2018 neophytes to continue the chapter’s positive momentum and campus leader- ship.
