JUNIOR PROVINCE VICE POLEMARCHS' ROLL CALL

Southeastern Province: Jessie Townsend (Lambda Gamma 2017) Jessie Townsend is a Spring 2017 initiate of the Winthrop University Chap- ter, the Lambda Gamma of Kappa Alpha Psi. Since his initiation, Jessie has had the pleasure to hold several different positions within his Chapter including Keeper of Records, MTA Chairman, and currently Polemarch. However, he has also been active on the province level as well by serving as Province Strategus and then recently being elected the Junior Prov- ince Vice Polemarch of the Southeastern Province. Additionally, Brother Townsend is a Kappa Fellow as he successfully graduated from the Under- graduate Leadership Institute (Theta Klass).

At Winthrop University, Jessie excels as an Exercise Science major and Coaching minor. As he enters his senior year of his undergraduate study, he plans to obtain acceptance into an Occupa- tional Therapy Doctoral Program to become an Occupational Therapist. His future plans also in- clude working on a Master’s degree in Coaching because he desires to coach collegiate basketball one day. His passion for sports and willingness to lead is what has led him to pursuing a career in coaching. He credits his strong determination as the reason why he is committed to achieving academically and fraternally. Jessie’s favorite quote comes from one of the most notable members in our fraternity’s history, Arthur Ashe, who once said “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.”

Middle Eastern Province: Dameon Griggs Jr. (Rho Zeta 2016)

Dameon Griggs Jr. is a senior financial economics and accounting major at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dameon is a dili- gent, task-oriented, and punctual individual whom thrives in every posi- tion that he is placed in. Dameon's goal upon graduation is to become a financial advisor and one day plans to open up his own financial firm. Dameon also plans on getting his Master of Business Administration after graduation to help enhance his future endeavors. During his tenure at Methodist University Dameon has served as a captain for Methodist University football team, he is currently a campus ambassador and New Student Orientation Leader which are two different programs, but both are essentially the same as the end goal is to help get prospective students get accommodated to college life. Dameon is also apart of the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization club which he has been apart of since 2017. Dameon is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. which he has been apart since 2016. In his fraternity, Dameon currently serves as the Junior Province Vice Polemarch for the Middle Eastern Province. This is a great honor to obtain due to the responsi-

bility of being the Undergraduate President for all the college men of Kappa Alpha Psi of the whole state of North Carolina, and South West Virgina. Dameon has also previously served as the Rho Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Keeper of Exchequer from 2016-18. Dameon was also apart of Student Government Association which he served as an Associate Justice on the Student Community Court.
