As we reflect on the past quarter, I am proud to share some of the remarkable milestones achieved by our Chamber and our members. Southern Oregon continues to demonstrate its resilience, creativity, and collaborative spirit, and this edition of our digital publication offers just a glimpse of the momentum building across our region. Our second annual Savor Southern Oregon event once again showcased the incredible wines and hospitality of Southern Oregon, drawing enthusiastic participation from industry partners, community members, and visitors alike. The strong attendance and well-deserved media coverage not only celebrated our local vineyards and producers, but also elevated the profile of our entire region as a premier destination for wine, tourism, and investment. This event is fast becoming a signature tradition that strengthens our community ties and reinforces the value of working together. Additionally, we successfully hosted the inaugural Southern Oregon Showcase, welcoming numerous elected officials for two nights and three days of immersive experiences in our business community. Through targeted business tours, roundtable discussions, and opportunities for candid dialogue, we were able to clearly articulate the needs and priorities of Southern Oregon while building meaningful relationships with key decision-makers from across the state. The Showcase was a powerful platform for highlighting both our successes and our challenges, and for ensuring that the voices of Southern Oregon employers, entrepreneurs, and workforce are heard. These achievements are possible because of the dedication of our members, partners, and community leaders who invest their time, expertise, and resources to move Southern Oregon forward. This year's Showcase featured visits to several cornerstone organizations, including Harry & David, NIC Industries, Rogue X, Rogue Community College, the Holly Theatre, and the Children's Museum of Southern Oregon. Each stop highlighted the remarkable work taking place across the Rogue Valley and demonstrated the positive impact these organizations have on our economy, workforce, families, and quality of life. Beyond touring facilities, the Southern Oregon Showcase created lasting relationships between elected officials and the communities they serve. Seeing local projects, meeting the people behind them, and hearing their stories helps provide important context for future conversations and policy decisions in Salem.

Invest in your future while making a lasting impact on our community through the Chamber's Leadership Medford program.
Program Requirements
As part of the Leadership Medford experience, class participants work together to plan and execute a community service project that leaves a meaningful impact on the Rogue Valley. To graduate from the program, participants are expected to: Attend at least 6 of the 8 program sessions. Attend one meeting each of the City Council, County Commissioners, and School Board. Participate in the class community service project.
Since its inception in 1983, Leadership Medford has graduated more than 1,000 business and community leaders who have gone on to become influential voices throughout the Rogue Valley. This distinguished program provides participants with a comprehensive, objective understanding of our community, strengthens leadership skills, and fosters a deeper commitment to the region. Many of the opportunities available through Leadership Medford are exclusive to the program, offering behind-the-scenes access and experiences not available to the general public.
Leadership Medford is designed for emerging leaders, business owners, professionals advancing their careers or new to the region, and individuals looking to become more engaged in shaping the future of our community. In today's ever-changing business environment, developing strong leadership skills is an investment that benefits both individuals and the organizations they serve. Who Should Participate?
Program Schedule
The program is comprised of eight educational sessions that begin in October and conclude in June. Participants meet on the first Tuesday of the month for a full- day experience featuring behind- the-scenes tours, hands-on demonstrations, interactive activities, presentations from community leaders, and discussions focused on key topics impacting our region.

DROUGHT AWARENESS ACROSS THE ROGUE VALLEY CHAMBER LEADERS UNITE TO ADVANCE
Water is essential to every aspect of our community. By working together to raise awareness and advocate for meaningful solutions, we can help ensure the Rogue Valley remains a strong place to live, work, and do business. John Watt Legislative Advocate for The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County - With drought conditions continuing to impact Southern Oregon, The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County recently welcomed members of the Rogue Basin Water Users Council, Chamber leadership, and local business representatives for an important conversation about one of our region's most critical resources: water. Collaborating for a Water-Resilient Rogue Valley
The meeting brought together the Chamber's Natural Resources Action Team, Legislative Action Team, Board of Directors, and community stakeholders to discuss the current drought, its impact on businesses and agriculture, and opportunities to build long-term water resiliency throughout the Rogue Valley. Earlier this year, Governor Tina Kotek issued a drought declaration for Southern Oregon following an unusually dry winter and below-average snowpack. As reservoir levels remain low, water availability continues to be a growing concern for agriculture, local employers, and the broader economy. The discussion focused not only on current conditions but also on educating the business community, increasing public awareness, and supporting long-term infrastructure investments that will strengthen the region's water future. Participants emphasized that water reliability affects every sector of our local economy, from agriculture and manufacturing to tourism, healthcare, and small businesses. Business leaders also discussed the importance of conservation efforts and continued support for local irrigation districts as they pursue projects designed to improve water storage, delivery, and long-term sustainability. The Chamber remains committed to serving as a convener for these important conversations while advocating alongside local, regional, and state partners for practical solutions that protect our economy and preserve this vital resource for future generations.
