COURTESY NORTHERN STAR RESOURCES Leaders, employees and honored guests gathered this spring to celebrate Pogo Mine’s 20th anniversary gold pour, a milestone marking not only longevity, but extraordinary performance and economic contribution far exceeding original expectations. The celebratory gold pour took place at the mine site on Feb. 12, 2026, exactly 20 years after Pogo’s first gold pour in 2006. The commemorative gold bar weighed 714 ounces, valued at approximately $3.5 million, a power- ful symbol of the mine’s enduring contribution to Alaska’s economy and the modern world.
