Hosted by CEF in partnership with Construction Futures, with support from NI Builder Magazine, the event attracted more than 500 guests for an evening of insight, celebration, networking and entertainment. Hosted by Pamela Ballantine, the event featured a keynote address from Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins with F1 commentator and inspirational trailblazer Bernadette Collins as after- dinner speaker and entertainment from comedian, presenter and actor Ed Byrne. Other speakers included CEF President Bryan Vaughan, Janet Deane from title sponsor Deane Public Works and Paul Brown from Build UK. A video showcasing the history
and impact of CEF and its members was also presented, highlighting the sector’s long-standing contribution to Northern Ireland’s built environment. The event supported two charities, Marie Curie and Little Heroes NI, with the second half of the evening focused on Construction Futures including its STEMstruct programme delivered in partnership with Sentinus to engage primary school pupils through hands-on learning. Next Generation sponsor Farrans enabled apprentices and students to attend the event, which featured presentation of the Construction Futures Rising Star of the Year Award to Rhys Proctor (People 1st – Level 3 Apprenticeship in Site Carpentry) with highly commended going to Patriece Gallagher (SERC – Year 2 Apprentice Construction Engineering with Surveying Foundation).
